General Questions
Farmer Connect is an integrated platform designed to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers. It allows farmers to list their crops directly, bypassing middlemen, while consumers can purchase fresh, local produce at fair prices. We also provide real-time weather updates and market insights.
Yes, creating an account and browsing the platform is completely free. We charge a minimal, transparent transaction fee only when a successful sale is made, which helps cover platform maintenance.
For Farmers
Once logged in as a farmer, go to your Dashboard and navigate to the 'My Crops' section. Click the '+ Add New Crop' button, fill in the details like name, price, quantity, and upload an image. Once saved, it will immediately be visible to customers.
Currently, you can coordinate payments directly with buyers upon delivery (Cash on Delivery) or through direct UPI transfers. Integrated secure platform payments are coming in the next update.
For Customers
You can track all your orders by navigating to the 'My Orders' tab in your Customer Dashboard. There, you can see the real-time status (Pending, Processing, Completed) of each purchase.
Yes, once an order is placed, you will have access to the farmer's contact information to coordinate delivery times or ask specific questions about the produce.
